  Richard S. Surwit, Ph.D., Chairman
Dr. Surwit is Professor, Vice Chairman for Research and Chief, Division of Medical Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Surwit is a diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology, a fellow of the American Academcy of Clinical Psychology, the American Psychological Association and the Society of Behavioral Medicine. He is the past president of the Society of Behavioral Medicine and the recipient of a Research Scientist Award from the National Institute of Mental Health. He is an internationally known expert in behavioral management of disease. He has served on the editorial boards of numerous professional journals and has authored over 120 peer-reviewed publications and four books in the Field. Dr. Surwit has been prinicipal investigator on numerous grants from the National Institutes of Health for his research on the interface of behavior and disease. Dr. Surwit conceived the original idea for the Diacare® System, secured funding and has guided the development of the Diacare System as well as the CoagCare System. He was awarded four patents pertaining to the use of direct-to-patient expert systems in the management of chronic disease.

Lyle Allen, M.A.
Mr. Allen was the co-founder of ZyCare with Dr. Surwit. He served as Technical Director of the Diacare® project, and managed the initial development of the CoagCare system. Mr. Allen has extensive experience in software design. Prior to joining ZyCare, Mr. Allen worked for Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. as a network support technician. He now runs his own company, CogniSyst, Inc., which supplies approximately 800 customers with computerized psychological tests.

Daniel Kelly
Mr. Kelly recently retired as the CFO of The Pantry, Inc. (NASDAQ:PTRY), a Fortune 500 public company in the retail industry, with revenues of approximately $7 billion. During his 5 years with The Pantry, the Company completed various capital transactions including public equity and debt offerings, leasing and other financings aggregating in excess of $2 billion. The Pantry’s revenues more than doubled through acquisitions of existing retailers. Prior to joining the Pantry, Mr. Kelly was CFO of Konover Property Trust, Inc., a public real estate investment trust operating outlet malls and strip shopping centers. Konover was acquired in 2002. Mr. Kelly’s previous career was in public accounting as an audit partner with Arthur Andersen & Co., serving small business and middle market clients in the Carolinas.

James J. Morris Jr., M.D.
Dr. Morris, a cardiologist, is Professor Emeritus of Medicine. As the former Chairman of the Managed Care Committee-Physicians at Duke University Medical Center, he brings considerable experience and personal contacts in the managed care industry to ZyCare. He has served on the Boards of several managed care organizations, where he has participated in the evaluation and selection of disease management programs. As a consultant to Medtronics Corporation, he helped to develop and market a pacemaker telephonic monitoring system that they and other companies continue to use today. Dr. Morris originally conceived of the CoagCare System.
